September Contest Winners Are Announced

by Douglas Gibb on October 1, 2009

At midnight, last night, I took a picture of the top commentators before the list reset itself back to zero. The people in this picture are the winners of this contest :)

On the 15th of September, I announced that I would run a contest where the person who wrote the most comments on Tarot Eon, would win a free Tarot reading. The closing date for that contest was the 30th of September.

I’m pleased to announce the winners.

The winners

  • 1st – Celtic Cross reading (AJ)
  • 2nd – Three Card reading (Ginger)
  • 3rd – One Card reading (Theresa)

I will be contacting AJ, Ginger and Theresa by email today, to arrange their Tarot readings.

I also want to take a moment to thank them for taking the time to comment on my posts and for sharing some of their experiences with us :)

New contest

The new contest will be exactly the same as the last one. In order to encourage more people to comment and participate at Tarot Eon, I will give a free Tarot reading to whom ever writes the most comments by the last day of October.

On the right hand sidebar, I have a list of top commentators. If, by the end of this month, you can get your name to the top of this list, then I have a great prize for you. For the top three commentators, you will all receive a free email Tarot reading.

The Fine Print

Leave a comment on any post from now until the end of November and you will be entered into this contest.

Non-spam simply means that it needs to be on topic and more than five words. I’ll use my judgment to determine what I think is legitimate and what I think is spam.

The readers with the most comments will be the winners.

The contest will end at midnight on the last day of October 2009 and a winner will be announced on November 1st.

I’ll see you all in the comments section :)

I missed the last contest. Lucky you are running another one. Isn’t it interesting that many times, if you post a blog entry on Facebook, people will happily comment there but won’t actually go to the blog and comment? So this month, for me, will be “comment on the actual blogs” month. At least this one :-)

Hi Barbara,

I know what you mean about Facebook :) . I wanted to thank you for your kind words:

I’m really looking forward to reading your comments :D

I am with Barbara. This is a clever idea and I look forward to reading Tarot Eon.

Maybe I’ll have to leave several comments, too. ;-)

Hope the winners enjoy their readings.

Thanks, Douglas. You spend a lot of time tending to this blog and adding thoughtful responses. That’ll keep a lot of people coming back!

But this contest doesn’t hurt, either. ;-)

Hi Tabitha Dial,

I think hearing other peoples opinions and feedback is one of the most exciting things about writing a blog. It allows me to make connections with my readers, listen to their perspectives and try and write articles that, based on their feedback, I think they’d find useful. Sometimes I hit the mark and other times I don’t – but listening to my readers, and showing them that I try my best to write articles that are helpful and useful is one of my main priorities for this blog. :)

But this contest doesn’t hurt, either. ;-)

Haha it’s the main reason I’m running it :D
